Allison Arieff on Shifting the Suburban Paradigm / by H. Pike Oliver

Allison Arieff, a founder of DWELL magazine in 2002 (among other accomplishments) believes we need to " .  .  . stop thinking about the home as decorative object and begin considering it as part of a larger whole." Her opinion piece on this topic  appeared in the New York Times on October 2, 2011.  The article and the more than 150 comments that it stimulated raise some interesting questions about the potential for changing the way we design and implement suburban development in the USA.
